Volunteers have been busy making colourful garden flowers. Made of wood, painted up and ready to cover spaces in any garden......all profits go to the NHS, locally.
These flowers are about two feet across, made of fenceboard and painted up with real outdoor garden paint.. Ideal to add colour to the garden - and we are doing poppies now as well
With the NHS logo in the middle, they showed your support for the fantastic service we had from the NHS during the Covid pandemic.
And we're supporting SSAFA now as well.
A few of us got the project going - Men in Sheds, AkzoNobel, Maxwell's, You Grow We Mow, Brightside Adult Services and Acorn Timber were fantastic in supporting us. The Palliative Care and Oncology Units at Wansbeck Hospital and the Special Baby Care Unit at Cramlington have benefitted.
Many more individuals have volunteered as painters and wood cutters, and we've bought a load of equipment so that work can be carried out on our premises. Get in touch if you'd like to join us.
We now make ladybirds, butterflies, daisies, robins and Christmas stuff.
More to come in 2023.
Earth Balance at Bomarsund have offered us the use for their premises and equipment on a Wednesday and Thursday morning, 10am until midday. That means we'll keep producing through the colder weather...
And we've received funding to upgrade inside and out, and to buy more tools.
Bees, squirrels, ladybirds, caterpillars, robins, magpies and rabbits join the flowers we started with.
