First class leisure facilities for Ashington's elderly people
Encouraging participation, reducing isolation
Encouraging participation, reducing isolation
We are a charity that's been around for a century. We are part of Ashington's heritage. We obtained charity status in 2001.
We have a thriving membership, first class facilities and we are always looking for enthusiastic people to come along and be part of what we do.
Our Committee is well-supported by a team of regulars and volunteers who are committed to helping others.
We take our convictions and turn them into action.
Think you would be a good fit?

Seeing the need for a place for ex-military people to have a place to spend their leisure time, this institute was built to provide that facility. We've been around since the end of the first World War.
We obtained charity status in 2001, and now provide a wider range of activities for the community
We are committed to providing first-class leisure facilities for the elderly people of Ashington and the surrounding area.
We are anxious to hear from small groups who would be interested in using our facilities, so that our institute can broaden it's offer, and people who may feel isolated can have a place to socialise and relax in
We are open seven days a week.
